Country icons
To help you recognize where ads come from, we’ve started including country icons at the top of the posts on our blog indicating the target group for these specific ads (HCP = Healthcare Professional / DTC = Direct-to-consumer / Trade). If you click on an icon, it will bring you to that category in the Gallery. For example, if you click on any of the icons below you will immediately be taken to that specific section.
New ad sources from North America and Europe
As the AdPharm gallery and this blog are growing, we have been busy including ads from different publications around the world. We’ve added more North American and European publications in our monitoring pool in order to expand the sample of pharmaceutical creative.
While increasing the North American and European creative, we are planning to further expand the pool by providing more ads from Oceania, the Middle East, South America, Africa and Asia.
To know more about the gallery, you can read the “about” in the gallery itself, and go through the blog section “AdPharm Tips and Tools” to know more about the functions available.

Ordre des Pharmaciens du Québec help clear up the health system in Quebec
An awareness campaign called “Un pharmacien au bout du fil” (A pharmacist at the other end of the phone) organized by L’Ordre des Pharmaciens du Québec is taking place this weekend. Although this effort is ending today, we thought this marketing effort was worth mentioning for it’s underlying premise.
Pharmacists respond to questions from Quebecers for free, Saturday and Sunday (March 6 and 7) between 9am and 16h at 514-788-3398 (Montreal) and 1-877-957-2683 (for the rest of the province).
The objective of this event is to remind the importance of consulting their pharmacist when in doubt about specific drugs. A recent study by the OPQ indicates that 30% of the population called their pharmacist at least once during the past year.
The “Info-Médicaments” phone line takes place through the week of Sensibilisation à la pharmacie and it is held from March 1 to March 6. As mentioned above, there are additional reasons for this effort though. The OPQ want to propose 3 solutions to help clear up the very busy Quebec health system. And this is the premise to this Sensibilisation à la pharmacie week.
The three proposed solutions are:
- Allowing Quebec pharmacists to extend a patient’s prescription to avoid an interruption of treatment, when their clinical condition is stable
- Allow pharmacists to adjust/change patients’ drug therapy
- Allowing pharmacists to initiate drug-therapies to help patients quit smoking
These three solutions are explained in more details on the OPQ website (in French) at the following address: http://www.opq.org/fr/services_public/communiques/70
