World Blood Donor Day
Description: The NHS employed the work of SAS to create a campaign across the country. They used Clean Advertising which is a method that uses a specialist cleaning machine to clean over the top of a stencil on a dirty pavement leaving behind a sharp clean contrast. The campaign targeted 10 cities across the UK from Glasgow to Brighton placing hundreds of adverts on pavements in high footfall locations close to the Blood donor centres.
The result was an unprecedented number of people giving blood for the campaign this year and discussions are taking place to create a bigger campaign next year.
